Objective

Learn to create an Access database and design and modify the table component.

Prerequisite Skills

Comfortable with the Windows environment.

Course Description

Do you need to learn how to plan a database, determine what information to include in the database, and decide how that information should be organized? Do you know what you need to include in your database but aren't sure how to create it?

Attend this course if you want to:

  • Understand the Access startup screen.

  • Open an existing database and view the objects in it.

  • Understand Microsoft Access terminology.

  • Open a table and navigate within it.

  • Add, edit, and delete records in a table.

  • Close a database when you are finished working with it.

  • Create a new database using a template.

  • Plan a new database.

  • Create a blank database.

  • Create a table from scratch or using a table template.

  • Add fields to a table.

  • Set the primary key.

  • Delete fields from a table.

  • Import or link data into a table.

  • Search for information in the online help system.
