Objective

Learn to create an Access database and design and modify the table component.

Prerequisite Skills

Comfortable with the Windows environment.

Course Description

Do you want to start using Microsoft Access to store and organize information? Do you need to learn how to plan a database, determine what information to include in the database, and decide how that information should be organized?

Attend this course if you want to:

  • Understand the Access interface.

  • Open an existing database and view the objects in it.

  • Understand Microsoft Access terminology.

  • Open a table or other object and navigate within it.

  • Add, edit, and delete records in a table.

  • Sort or filter records.

  • Close a database when you are finished working with it.

  • Create a new database using a template.

  • Plan a new database.

  • Create a blank database and add tables and fields to it.

  • Encrypt a database with a password.

  • Use the Compact & Repair Database tool.

  • Search for information in the online help system.
