Excel 2010 Formatting Spreadsheets II

Objective

Learn more advanced formatting techniques, including conditionally formatting cells, using sparklines, using styles, and creating custom views. Also learn to include and work with illustrations, SmartArt, and WordArt. Finally, learn to customize Excel's default settings for use in new workbooks and worksheets.

Prerequisite Skills

Comfortable with general Excel capabilities.

Course Description

Do you want your worksheets to look more professional? Do you want to call special attention to certain areas of your worksheet?

Attend this course if you want to:

  • Conditionally format data to automatically apply different formatting to cells that meet specific criteria.

  • Display data bars, color scales, or icon sets in cells based on criteria you specify.

  • Create sparklines to show trends within a series of values.

  • Format cells using built-in cell styles.

  • Create and apply custom views.

  • Include illustrations in a worksheet.

  • Add WordArt and text boxes to a worksheet.

  • Modify a default template.
