Excel Power Functions

Objective

Learn to use some of Excel's power functions, including SUMPRODUCT, array formulas, statistical functions, and financial functions.

Prerequisite Skills

Comfortable with basic, intermediate, and advanced Excel capabilities.

Course Description

Do you need to calculate multiple ranges of cells? Do you want to use some of Excel's statistical and financial functions?

Attend this course if you want to:

  • Use the SUMPRODUCT function to calculate grand totals.

  • Use array formulas to perform calculations on one or more ranges.

  • Find the median, mode, and trimmed mean within a set of numbers.

  • Rank items within a list.

  • Find the highest or lowest values within a list.

  • Calculate a payment.

  • Calculate principal and interest amounts.

  • Calculate present or future values.

  • Calculate how long it will take for an investment to reach a certain amount.

  • Calculate how long payments from an investment will last.

  • Calculate the depreciation of an asset.
