Elert & Associates Training, in partnership with Manufacturers Resource Center (MRC), offers virtual classroom training to MRC client companies. MRC client companies can register for any of the Microsoft Office 90 Minute Workouts^® listed on our public schedule. Please note that all class times on the schedule are Central Time.

What is a 90 Minute Workout^®?

Our 90 Minute Workouts^® make it easy for you to get just the training you need, without taking an entire day or half-day out of your schedule. In just 90 minutes, learn a few specific, targeted skills in a hands-on environment from a knowledgeable instructor. Just need to learn how to use Microsoft Word for mass mailings? Attend the Word Mail Merge workout. Need to learn how to calculate values in an Excel worksheet? Attend the Excel Functions & Formulas workout.

Sign up for the workout that meets your specific needs. Spend just 90 minutes in class, then take the skills you learned and apply them immediately to your work. When you're ready, come back for the next workout to learn another new skill.

What is the Virtual Classroom?

When you register for a class in our virtual classroom, you attend class right from your desk, but you still get the benefits of interacting with a live instructor and the other students. On the day of the class, you'll use your browser to join the class (we'll send you the address and other details when you register). When joining, you'll be asked for your phone number, and our system will call you back so you can hear and participate in the audio portion of the class.

Throughout the class, follow along in your copy of the courseware as you watch the instructor demonstrate each new skill on his or her computer. Then practice the same skill on your machine, using your copy of the application. If you have difficulties, the instructor can view your screen and walk you through the process step by step.

What Do You Need to Participate?

To participate in a class in our virtual classroom, you need the following:

• A Web browser and Internet connection (minimum 28K, 56K recommended)
• A phone line (headset or speakerphone recommended)
• The software application you will be learning (e.g., Excel for an Excel course)

Once you register for a class, you will receive an e-mail message containing instructions for joining the class. The e-mail will also contain a link to the courseware for the class. Please print this courseware so you can follow along during class.

How Much Does Each Class Cost?

Through an agreement with MRC, client companies can attend any 90 Minute Workout^® listed on the public schedule for $75 per student. This rate includes the long distance charges for the audio connection. You can pay by credit card or contact us to establish a Purchase Order. When entering your payment information, please enter MRC in the Chargeback field.
