Office 2010 Moving from Office 2007

Objective

Learn about the new features in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2010 that were not available in Office 2007.

Prerequisite Skills

Familiar with previous versions of the Microsoft Office applications, including Office 2007.

Note: If you are moving to Office 2010 from Office 2003 or earlier, attend the Office 2010 New Features class instead.

Course Description

If you are moving to Office 2010 from Office 2007 rather than an earlier version, the new interface for each application (including the Ribbon, Quick Access toolbar, and other features) should already be familiar to you. In this class, learn about the new features specific to Office 2010 that were not available in the previous upgrade.

Attend this course if you want to:

  • Understand the File tab and Backstage view.

  • Customize the Ribbon.

  • Use live paste preview.

  • Add photo editing effects to pictures.

  • Remove the background from a photo.

  • Capture and insert screenshots in your documents.

  • Recover previous versions of a file.

  • Use Windows Live SkyDrive and Office Web Apps.
