Outlook 2007 Tips & Shortcuts

Objective

Learn time-saving tips for working with Outlook mail and other components; learn to work with the Notes component; and find out how you can integrate Outlook components for optimum use.

Course Description

Are you using the most efficient methods for accomplishing tasks in Outlook? Could you save time by customizing or integrating your Outlook components?

Attend this course if you want to:

  • Use notes to record comments and information that does not fit appropriately in other Outlook components.

  • Mark a message as unread so you remember to return to it later.

  • Change the subject of a message you received.

  • Retain a draft message to use as a template for future messages.

  • Delete an item immediately (without sending it to the Deleted Items folder).

  • Send a file via e-mail directly from an Office application or from Windows Explorer.

  • Post messages in a folder.

  • Color-code messages in your Inbox or other mail folders.

  • Create Automatic Formatting rules to color-code calendar entries automatically.

  • Create and print a blank calendar.

  • Integrate Outlook components.

  • Customize the Outlook components to better suit the way you work.

  • Customize the Navigation Pane.

  • Use the Shortcuts Navigation Pane to quickly open an Outlook folder, a file, or a Web page.
