Outlook 2010 Calendar Basics

Objective

Learn to navigate the Outlook calendar and schedule appointments and events on your own calendar. Also learn to customize the calendar environment, conditionally format calendar items, create another calendar, and e-mail your calendar to others.

Comfortable with the basics of Outlook 2010.

Course Description

Do you want to learn how to manage your time using the Outlook calendar? This class provides a general introduction to the Outlook calendar, with a focus on creating appointments and events on your own calendar and customizing the calendar environment to best meet your needs.

Attend this course if you want to:

  • Understand the different calendar views.

  • Navigate to different dates on the calendar.

  • Add another time zone to your calendar.

  • Specify your working days and hours.

  • Schedule appointments and all-day events on your calendar.

  • Modify an existing appointment.

  • Create recurring calendar entries.

  • Delete an appointment or event.

  • Add recognized holidays to your calendar.

  • Color code calendar items automatically.

  • Work with reminders.

  • Print your calendar.

  • Create a separate calendar for other types of events.

  • E-mail your calendar to someone else.

  • View calendar entries on the Outlook Today screen.

  • Work with the To-Do Bar.
