PowerPoint 2003 Getting Started

Objective

Learn the terminology of Microsoft PowerPoint and develop the skills to create and work with basic presentations.

Prerequisite Skills

Comfortable with the Windows environment.

Course Description

Do you want to create eye-catching presentations that you can print or present to an audience as a slide show?

Attend this course if you want to:

  • Understand the different presentation materials available in PowerPoint.

  • Understand PowerPoint's menus, toolbars, and Task Panes.

  • Work with the various PowerPoint views.

  • Create a new presentation.

  • Use the AutoContent Wizard as the basis for a new presentation.

  • Move from one slide to another.

  • Add and modify text on a slide.

  • Undo an action.

  • Delete a slide you no longer need.

  • Open, edit, save, and delete presentations.

  • Work with slide layouts and placeholders.

  • Add new slides to a presentation.

  • Rearrange slides in a presentation.

  • Spell check a presentation.

  • Preview what your slides, notes, and handouts will look like when printed.

  • Print a presentation.

  • Use on-line help to answer your PowerPoint questions.
