Course Description
Your project is in the planning stage, or you are already tracking
your progress toward completion. What if you want to see your
project information in ways that Project doesn’t seem to
offer, or you’d like to view some customized data that is
specific to your company’s needs and way of tracking projects?
This data is not included in Project’s built-in tables,
but you can learn to customize Project’s built-in objects,
such as reports and table, and also to create new objects from
scratch. In this class, learn all of these skills and learn how
to share your customized objects with other Project plan files
or make them available to all new Project plans you create.
Attend this course if you want to:
-
Change or enhance the way a view, table, or chart currently
prints, and add items such as headers and footers to printed
pages.
-
Customize existing Project reports to better meet your needs.
-
Create new reports.
-
Customize existing Project tables to add or remove fields
of data.
-
Create new tables.
-
Add customized fields to your project, and possibly enhance
them with drop-down lists, calculations, or graphic indicators.
-
Customize existing Project filters.
-
Create new filters, including interactive filters that ask
for the filter criteria each time you apply the filter.
-
Customize existing Project groups, to see your tables organized
in different ways.
-
Create new groups.
-
Customize existing Project views, such as the Gantt chart
view or Resource sheet view, to show the combination of tables,
diagrams, forms, filters, and/or groups that you want to see.
-
Create new Project views, including single and combination
view.
-
Use the Organizer to manage your customized objects, share
them with other Project files, make them available to all
new Project files, and rename them or delete them.
