Objective

Learn additional features to enable more efficient use of Project 2007.

Prerequisite Skills

• Comfortable with the Windows environment

• Comfortable with tasks and resources in Microsoft Project 2007
  (Suggested courses: Project 2007 Getting Started, Project 2007 Refining a Project Plan, Project 2007 Working with Resources, Project 2007 Working with Costs, and Project 2007 Tracking a Project)

Course Description

Attend this course if you want to:

• Use the network diagram to view the flow of a project and the dependencies between tasks.

• Customize the layout and box styles in the network diagram.

• Use a shortcut menu to switch between different tables.

• Display progress lines on the Gantt chart.

• Customize the way the Gantt chart bars display.

• Customize the View bar and View menu.

• Sort, filter, and group project information.

• Export project data to Excel.

• Export tasks from Project to Outlook (or import them from Outlook into Project).

• Add resources from your Outlook Contacts list.

• E-mail selected tasks to resources.

• Create a master project file from several related project files.

• Create subprojects from a master project file.

• Find project templates on Microsoft's Web site.
