Pricing and
Payment Options
How
much does each class cost?
The
standard price for each 90 Minute Workout® in our
virtual classroom is $70 per student. One-on-One Application Support
sessions are also $70 per student. Prices vary for other courses
in our catalog and for dedicated (private) classes. See the virtual
classroom pricing page
for more details.
In
addition to this standard, per-class price, we offer volume pricing
discounts. Contact us to find out what
options are available.
What
are my payment options?
You
can pay by credit card or company purchase order. To pay by purchase
order, you need to set up a PO with Elert & Associates.
If
your organization has established a volume pricing agreement with
Elert & Associates, we can work with you to set up either a
pre-pay voucher system or we can invoice you on a monthly basis
as students attend classes.
What
if I want a dedicated class for my organization?
We
are happy to schedule customized or dedicated classes just for employees
from your organization. Please contact us at 651-705-1289
or at
to discuss the various options and pricing terms.
Registration
and Scheduling
How
do I find the class I want to register for?
We
currently offer public classes in our virtual classroom on the Microsoft
Office 2003 and 2007 suite of applications. Browse our course
catalog to find descriptions of each 90 Minute Workout®
in these applications. The "Delivery Options" portion
of the description will indicate whether the class is offered publicly.
Once you've found the workout you're interested in, check
the calendar to find out when it's being offered.
Tip:
To find a specific class without searching the entire monthly calendar,
go to the virtual
classroom and click Register for a Class. In the Step
1 area, select the class you want to find. Then click the View
Schedule button. The scheduled sessions for the selected class
will display in the Step 2 area. (If you do not want to register
for the class at this time, you can leave this page without proceeding.)
What
if I'm interested in a class that's not on the schedule or I want
to schedule a customized class for my organization?
If
you don't see a class you're interested in listed on our schedule,
you have two options:
-
Sign
up for a 45-minute 1-on-1
Application Support session. We'll follow up with you after
you register to find out which topics you would like to address.
During the session, the instructor will work with you to help
you apply the new concepts directly to your specific needs.
-
Contact
us to schedule a dedicated class for your specific group
or team. We can accommodate up to ten students in each dedicated
class, and we can customize those sessions to ensure they meet
your needs.
How
do I view or print a monthly calendar of classes?
Go
to the course calendar
page and select a month to view. Your browser launches Adobe Acrobat
Reader and displays the calendar for the selected month. You can
then print the calendar.
Note:
The calendars are in PDF format; the free Adobe
Acrobat Reader software is required.

Preparing for
a Class
How
do I get the course materials for a class?
Once
you have registered for a class, you will receive an e-mail message
that includes a link to the courseware for the class. This courseware
is in PDF format, so you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view
and print the file. (If you don't have Adobe Acrobat Reader, you
can obtain it free of charge from Adobe's
Web site.)
Click
the link to open the courseware. When prompted, enter the password
that is included in the e-mail message. When the courseware displays,
print a copy. If possible, print the document back-to-back to conserve
paper.
Note:
For certain classes (primarily technical
and Web development classes), the courseware will be mailed to you.
If this is the case, you will receive an e-mail message after you
register, asking you for your mailing address.
How
do I get the practice files for a class?
For
many of the classes in our curriculum, the instructor will refer
to and have you apply new skills using specific practice files.
If the class you registered for uses any practice files, you will
receive an e-mail message containing these files. When you receive
this message, save the attachments to your desktop or to another
location where you can easily find them during the class.
What
if I have problems downloading the courseware?
To
access the courseware for a class, you must have Adobe
Acrobat Reader installed on your computer and you must enter
the appropriate password for the courseware. (This password will
be provided in an e-mail message after you have registered for the
class.)
If
you have any problems downloading the courseware, call us at 651-705-1289.
When you call, please indicate that you are calling about a virtual
classroom course. You can also contact us via e-mail at
.
Joining a Class
How
do I join the class?
After
registering for a class, you will receive an e-mail message confirming
your registration and providing instructions to join the class.
Ten
minutes before the class start time, open your Web browser and go
to our virtual
classroom (at http://elert.webex.com).
Find your class in the list of meetings and click Join Now.
Then follow the instructions on the screen or in the e-mail message
to join the instructor and other students in the class.
Note:
If a security dialog box displays, asking if you want to install
and run the WebEx Client, click Yes (or Install,
depending on the wording of the message). The process that follows
typically takes one to two minutes. If you use a dial-up connection,
see the note in the confirmation message you receive to install
the WebEx client prior to the class time.
What
if I have problems joining a class?
If
you have any problems joining a class or demonstration, please
contact Elert & Associates at 651-705-1289 and indicate you
are calling about a virtual classroom course. You can also contact
us via e-mail at
.
If
you feel your problem may be more technical in nature or
may involve your own firewall, please contact WebEx Technical
Support at 866-863-3904. They will assist you in troubleshooting
the problem.
Do
the instructor and other students have access to my computer while
I'm attending a class?
During
class, you may want to share what is on your screen with the instructor
so that he or she can walk you through any difficulties you may
encounter. The instructor and other students see only what is on
your screen, however, and only when you choose to provide access.
Furthermore, data you are sharing only passes through the WebEx
server; no information is ever retained on the server.
