Visio 2003 Getting Started
Objective
Learn the terminology and capabilities of Visio 2003. Learn to
create a diagram by adding shapes, formatting shapes and text,
and connecting shapes.
Prerequisite Skills

Comfortable with the Windows environment.

Comfortable with Microsoft Office applications (particularly
Word and/or PowerPoint)

Familiarity with Microsoft Office AutoShapes and drawing
tools is helpful but not essential
Course Description
Do you want to use Visio to create block diagrams, flowcharts,
organization charts, and other types of business diagrams? This
course provides a general introduction to the Visio interface
and the drawing tools available in Visio.
Attend this course if you want to:

Understand the types of drawings you can create with Visio.

Understand and navigate in the Visio environment.

Work with the Shapes Pane and Visio stencils.

Zoom in and out on a drawing.

Save a drawing.
-
Open and close existing drawings.

Create new drawings and set up the drawing page.

Insert and draw shapes.
-
Move, resize, flip or rotate, duplicate, group, and align
shapes.

Add a fill color, shadow, or other effects to a shape.

Format lines and borders.

Add text to shapes and drawings.

Connect shapes.

Add a background to a drawing.

Print drawings.
